About the Artist
Jane Fox (b.1965) is a British artist living near Bridport on the West Dorset coast, UK.
Since graduating in London in 1990s London, Jane has continued to work over the decades in London , San Francisco and now West Dorset, UK running a studio of her own creative painting practise alongside commercial mural, gilding and restoration work for designers and architects.
In 2022 she began working with 3 volumes of Arthur Mee’s Children's Encyclopaedias (1908). These interventions draw on myth, fairy tale and magic realism. As an antithesis to anthropocentrism this fantastical universe recognises the intrinsic value of all beings - seen and unseen. As cosmic and human edges blur, it opens up space for new ways of reconnecting with a wonder, enchantment and belonging.

SALON.
Fitzrovia Gallery, London W1
A contemporary homage to the salon hangs of the 18th and 19th centuries. The exhibition emphasises the idea that art, much like in our homes is designed to be lived with, transforming the gallery into a space that is both inviting and reflective of the personal connections we form with art.
